Current Projects

1. Nickelodeon Writing Project:

Pick out two series from the Accepted Shows List, one live action and one animation, and make the best SPECs I can.

For my first SPEC I've chosen Bob's Burgers. I'm into food a lot and it is a major influence in my behavior and sexuality. I have anxiety about food, food creates euphoria, my brain is always drawn towards where the food is. My heart yearns for my stomach to be filled. And so I can relate to the main character Bob Belcher for his affinity with food.

My writing specialty is dealing with explorations of sexuality so I want to tap into motivations for how we can show Bob to have a bi experience on screen. His own food seems to be a primary motivator for how he operates. If someone were to sexually interact with his food in front of him, I think it would stand to reason he'd be compelled to join in.

After he calls and contacts Linda of course.

And this sort of queer experience ties into what I enjoy, I'm into bears. Gainers. Feeders. They thrive on food.

Secondly, going with my queer experience again, both times I've met my boyfriend IRL, we've gotten each other sick with the common cold. It might be a topical way to go about this, but in combining a sexuality episode with a pandemic episode (COVID-19, although not named in my SPEC), it can open the door to touch on my own experiences.

Some might see it as a comparison to the AIDS pandemic, and I hope that I can respectfully write with that interpretation in mind and not to dismiss the experiences of the queer people who have lived through that.

2. Furry Comic:

Second, I'm a furry. I have furry friends. I want to engage with them creatively and write about my queer experiences. My fursona is a koala, and there's interesting ways I can go with a koala. They're nicknamed Koala Bears, despite not being bears. In the queer community, bears are a large group of men. And so that can open the door to discussing body dysmorphia, toxic masculinity in queer spaces, food based issues with the carnivore/herbivore dynamic, touch on the Drop Bear myth/Marsupial Lion history of the koala, and just have fun exploring what it means to express sexuality as a furry.

Also no, I don't do fursuiting. I don't like fursuits. Also I'm respectful of my peers unlike some of them.

3. Personal Comic, hopefully eventual animated series if I can pitch it

Lastly I'm developing a world and story with my boyfriend. I'll keep this under wraps until I have a pilot and pitch bible together, but it's fun. My best friend is doing some concept work for it that I commissioned. It's a really wonderful story and world I have in my mind and I hope to put it out there soon.

Update on life and projects

Hey blog again, I've been trying to keep up with college of late and so I haven't been here. That being said, I'd like to take the opportunity to let you know how things are going in life and the pandemic and whatnot. I've been working with my friends and boyfriend ( Orlando , Curt , and Malcolm ) to turn Pastel Bears into a graphic novel and so my output of writing samples hasn't been at the level where I'd like it to be. I'm more focused in learning the ropes of production and seeing a project to completion in some capacity. Here's the first image I'm posting publicly about this project, some key art or a poster, either definition fits. Art by ImpossibleSnail on Twitter. Logo by  failedDEXsave . Beyond that I've been keeping up with school work and investing in my professional career going forward as a writer, looking into editing services and commissioning artists outside of those I'm already working with (such as above). Always somethin...
